Septarian — also known as Dragon Stone — is a fascinating combination of three minerals: yellow calcite, brown aragonite, and grey limestone, formed from ancient sea creatures that died and decomposed on the ocean floor around 50–70 million years ago. The dramatic cracking patterns formed as the sediment dried and shrank over millennia, creating the distinctive septarian lines that make each piece completely unique. It is said to carry nurturing, grounding energy, encouraging patience, tolerance and confidence. A wonderful conversation piece as much as a healing stone.
